Senior Consultant Network Automation (d/f/m)

What you can expect

  • Serve as Detecon Global technical expert network automation and programming and deal with leaders from VP to C-Levels on this topic
  • Technical leadership role on network automation discipline and standards across the global network in all networking contexts
  • Consult with our TMT clients on network automation implementation from Strategy to Execution
  • Be able to engineer and implement a global network automation framework
  • Implement and manage the lifecycle of a network infrastructure, including network hardware and software testing as well as certification, project delivery and execution for our clients

What we are looking for

  • Successfully completed bachelor's or master's degree in one of the MINT subjects, (business) computer science, (business) engineering or a comparable course of study
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical engineering or consulting role for networks
  • Experience in network programming and engineering network automation
  • Strong technical leadership capability in a global organization as well as excellent communication style
  • Expert knowledge in automation platforms and programming languages, including but not limited to:  Ansible,  Salt Stack, Django platforms
  • Programming knowledge in Python, Java, Perl,  or other relevant languages
  • Understand Networking protocols:  Route/switch, Cisco, WAN engineering, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP), Layer 2, VXLAN, Multicast, QoS
  • Knowledge in network management, orchestration and control platform plus in OSS/BSS technologies
